MIL-PRF-680C Type II - 5 G1001 Rust Penetrant is a hydrocarbon-based solvent used as a detergent and cleaner for painted and unpainted metal parts.Mil-PRF-680 is an immersion & wipe solvent for removing adhesives, greases, oils, and sealants. Inherently residue-free. Very low odor. Listed on the QPL to MIL PRF 680 Type II.

Suggested for use on frozen or rusted fittings, nuts, or bolts. We recommend that this solvent be used with an appropriate recalculated parts washer. MIL-PRF-680B Type II (low odor, high flash point) is intended for use where a solvent with a higher flash point is desired or required. When this solvent is used indoors, be sure to have proper ventilation to prevent the accumulation of vapors above the allowable exposure limits.
