Flamemaster CS 3330 Class B Low Adhesion Sealant Compound - Specialized Sealant for Aircraft Applications
NSN: 8030-01-028-4336
Flamemaster CS 3330 Class B is a low adhesion sealing compound designed for removable panels and fuel tank inspection plates. CS 3330 Class B can be used for sealing aircraft access doors and accessories where gaskets are required. This specialized sealant is engineered to provide a secure seal while also allowing for relatively easy removal or disassembly when required. Its Class B designation typically indicates specific application properties such as viscosity or flow rate. This compound is ideal for applications in the aviation industry where periodic access or removal of sealed components is necessary, avoiding the strong bonding of traditional permanent sealants.
Key Features for Aviation:
- Specialized sealant designed for aircraft applications requiring both sealing and ease of removal.
- Offers low adhesion characteristics, allowing for easier disassembly and maintenance.
- Provides a reliable seal against moisture and other environmental contaminants.
- Class B designation indicates specific handling and application characteristics.
- Suitable for sealing access panels, doors, and other areas where periodic entry is needed.
- Helps prevent corrosion (check product specifications for specific corrosion inhibition properties).
Typical Aviation Applications:
- Sealing access panels and inspection plates that require periodic removal.
- Sealing around components that may need future maintenance or replacement.
- Providing a seal on faying surfaces where disassembly might be necessary.
- Use in areas where strong permanent bonding is not desired.
- Suitable for certain interior and exterior sealing applications in commercial and general aviation aircraft.
