Refund policy

How do I return an item?

1. Return and Restocking Fee Policies

  • Authorization: Returns and damage claims must be made within a maximum of 3 business days after receiving the product, with prior authorization from Aircraft Shop Supply (Return Material Authorization - RMA). Returns without prior notice or written authorization will not be accepted. We strongly recommend inspecting the product upon delivery; many products require special storage conditions for which we are not responsible once they arrive to the client's facility. Please review the product's SDS for proper storage and handling.

  • Short Shelf Life: For products with 3 to 6 months of remaining shelf life, claims must be made within the next 2 business days after receipt.

  • Exclusions: Returns are not accepted for products with less than 3 months of remaining shelf life, products purchased during a "Low Shelf Life" promotion, items sold with discounts, or special orders placed directly with the factory.

  • Shipping & Inspection: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs (except in cases of company error). Refunds will only be issued after the product has been inspected and no damage is found.

  • Restocking Fees:

    • 25% Fee: For products in good condition no longer needed or ordered incorrectly.

    • 35% Fee: For products with one year or less of remaining shelf life.

    • 0% Fee: If Aircraft Shop Supply is responsible for an incorrect shipment or if the order was damaged before leaving the warehouse.

2. Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Return Policy

Due to the complex legal and safety requirements for transporting dangerous goods, the following rules apply to all Hazmat returns:

  • Customer Error: If a return is requested due to a customer error (e.g., ordered wrong part, no longer needed, or incorrect specifications), original shipping fees, Hazmat handling fees, and specialized packaging costs are strictly non-refundable. Only the cost of the product (minus the applicable Restocking Fee) will be credited.

  • Return Shipping: The customer is solely responsible for arranging and paying for the return of Hazmat materials via a certified carrier. The return must comply with all DOT/IATA regulations.

  • Company Responsibility: Aircraft Shop Supply will only cover Hazmat shipping, packaging, and handling costs if the return is a direct result of our error (e.g., wrong item shipped) or if the product was damaged prior to leaving our warehouse.

  • Final Sale Clarification: Items sold under "Low Shelf Life" promotions or special factory orders remain Final Sale and are not eligible for return under any circumstances, regardless of their Hazmat status.

3. Return and Replacement of Damaged Material

  • Definition of Damage: We define damaged material as products with severe spills or impacts that affect quality. Minor dents, scratches, or aesthetic defects to packaging are not eligible for return.

  • Insurance & Responsibility: All shipments are insured. Aircraft Shop Supply is responsible for replacement only if the packaging was inadequate or the product was damaged prior to shipping.

  • Evidence: Our warehouse takes photos of all products before shipping. If these photos confirm the product was in good condition, claims must be directed to the shipping company. Once insurance compensation is received, the refund will be issued. If a replacement is needed immediately, the customer must repurchase the product.

4. Customer-Provided Shipping Accounts

  • If you choose to use your own shipping account (Collect or Third Party), please be advised that all such shipments are processed under Incoterm EXW (Ex Works) from our warehouse. Aircraft Shop Supply is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft during transit once the package has been handed over to the carrier. By providing your own shipping service, you acknowledge that our liability ends at the moment the product leaves our facility.
