Commercial Turbine Engine
MIL-PRF-23699
The MIL-PRF-23699 specification classifies synthetic turbine oils into four performance-based categories: STD (Standard) for conventional engine operation; HTS (High Thermal Stability) for modern high-temperature engines to prevent coking; CI (Corrosion Inhibited) with enhanced additives ; and EE (Enhanced Elastomer) for superior seal compatibility and advanced thermal resistance.
SAE-AS5780
The SAE AS5780 standard classifies synthetic turbine oils into two performance grades: SPC (Standard Performance Capability) for conventional engines with baseline thermal stability, and HPC (High Performance Capability) for modern, high-heat engines requiring superior resistance to carbon deposits and thermal degradation.
