Royco® 483 is a premium, mineral oil-based corrosion preventative compound engineered by LANXESS (Anderol Specialty Lubricants) specifically for the internal preservation of aircraft gas turbine and jet engines. Formulated to meet the strict performance standards of military specification MIL-C-6529 Type III, this high-performance preservation oil is designed to protect internal engine architectures during extended storage, decommissioning, or overseas transit windows. It deposits a highly tenacious, ultra-stable anti-rust film across critical turbine bearings, compressor blades, sumps, and internal gear trains, actively sealing out atmospheric moisture and preventing destructive oxidation, pitting, and storage degradation.

Approved Specifications & Military Conformance:
Royco 483 is fully certified and listed on global aerospace procurement indexes for military and commercial aircraft engine preservation:
- Military Specification Approval: Fully qualified and listed under MIL-C-6529 Type III (Corrosion Preventative, Aircraft Engine, Grade 3 / SAE 10).
- Joint Service Designation: Equivalent to NATO Code C-614 and UK Defense Standard Def Stan 91-40/1.
- Substrate Protection Performance: Passes rigorous multi-metal humidity and oxidation-corrosion tests, making it safe for copper, steel, aluminum, and titanium alloys.
Key Features & Performance Benefits
- Targeted Turbine Metallurgy Safety: Formulated without aggressive chemical additives, safeguarding high-precision rolling-element bearings, silver-plated cages, and specialized aviation alloys.
- High-Adhesion Moisture Barrier: Developed with advanced polar rust inhibitors that form a continuous, non-drying boundary film to block humidity and condensation inside closed engine cavities.
- Excellent Low-Temperature Fluidity: Low-viscosity SAE 10 base ensures rapid oil distribution and uniform coating coverage throughout internal lines during engine motoring cycles.
- Thermal and Oxidative Stability: High flash point ensures the compound can be introduced safely into warm engine systems during standard flyaway or depot preservation procedures without thermal breakdown.
- Simplified Re-Commissioning: Designed to blend cleanly with standard aviation turbine oils, easing fleet restart protocols and minimizing excessive smoke or deposit generation upon burn-off.
Typical Applications
- Gas Turbine Engine Storage: The industry standard fluid for the internal preservation of turbojet, turbofan, turboprop, and turboshaft aviation engines during seasonal storage or depot grounding.
- Flyaway Engine Preservation: Utilized as a temporary operational lubricant blend for short flyaway preservation flights immediately prior to placing an airframe in long-term storage.
- Component Storage & MRO Overhaul: Ideal for protecting spare turbine bearing housings, main compressor shafts, accessory gearboxes, and fuel control units inside logistics warehouses.

At Aircraft Shop Supply, we are committed to shipping the highest quality and freshest product possible. To ensure efficient stock rotation and meet aviation industry standards, our inventory management is governed by the following policy:
1. Scope of Application
All Sales Channels: This policy applies to all orders processed by Aircraft Shop Supply, including but not limited to: website purchases, direct email orders, formal Purchase Orders (POs), phone orders, and contract agreements.
2. Inventory Management (FIFO)
All products with an expiration date are managed and shipped on a strict "First In – First Out" (FIFO) basis.
3. Minimum Shipping Margin
Standard Guarantee: We will not ship any products with fewer than 30 days of use remaining (days before expiration), unless previously coordinated and agreed upon with the customer.
No Automatic Guarantees: Outside of this 30-day minimum margin, Aircraft Shop Supply does not make any automatic guarantee as to the specific length of time remaining on any shelf-life item for standard orders.
4. Special Customer Requirements
We understand that certain projects, maintenance schedules, or regulatory standards require strict specifications. If your order has specific shelf-life requirements, please proceed as follows:
How to Request: If you require a specific Date of Manufacture (DOM), Date of Expiration (DOE), or a specific minimum shelf-life percentage (%), you must clearly state this requirement:
In the Comments/Notes section when placing an online order.
Explicitly written on your Purchase Order (PO) or quote request email for offline orders.
Validation Process: Once your requirement is received:
We will ship your order if the available stock matches your specifications.
If we do not have the exact batch, we will contact you prior to shipping with the shelf-life percentage (%) or dates we have available for your acceptance.
5. Limitation of Liability and Validity of Information
To ensure transparency and manage expectations, the following terms and conditions apply:
Time-Limited Validity: Any information provided by our team regarding the remaining shelf-life percentage (%) is valid only at the exact time the inquiry is made. Due to high inventory turnover, availability is subject to change without prior notice.
