Description
AeroShell Calibrating Fluid 2 - 55 Gal
AeroShell Calibrating Fluid 2 is a specialized, highly refined mineral fluid, commonly described as a Specially Run Stoddard Solvent or a light kerosene. Its primary purpose is to act as a precision reference fluid for the testing and calibration of critical aircraft fuel system components. This fluid is manufactured to stringent chemical and physical specifications to ensure consistency and non-reactivity, which is essential for accurately calibrating sensitive flow, pressure, and metering devices used on turbine (jet) engines.
Applications
- Calibration: For accurately setting flow rates, pressures, and volumes in various aircraft fuel system components.
- Component Testing: Used in test benches for turbine (jet) engine fuel pumps, fuel controls, flow dividers, and injectors to ensure they meet OEM specifications.
- Military and Civil Aviation: A standard calibration solvent used by Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities worldwide.
Specifications and Approvals
- MIL-PRF-7024G Type II
