Aeroshell 58 Grease - SAE AMS3058 / AIMS 09-06-003
MFG #: 550063164 (14 oz. Tube)
AeroShellGrease 58 (ASG58) is an advanced wheel-bearing grease composed of a synthetic base fluid and a lithium complex soap thickener. AeroShell Grease 58 possesses an outstanding combination of high-performance characteristics including high load carrying, corrosion protection, mechanical stability, oxidation resistance and wear resistance.
The useful operating temperature range is -54°C to +175°C
Aeroshelll Grease 58 has been developed to exceed the requirements of the SAE AMS 3058 Wide Temperature Range Lithium complex Aircraft WheelBearing Grease specification. It is recommended for use wherever severe operating conditions are encountered as in high bearing loads, high speeds, wide operating temperature range, and particularly where long grease retention and high resistance to water washout and corrosive fluids are required.AeroShell Grease 58 is the latest member of the AeroShell Lithium ComplexGrease portfolio which includes AeroShell Greases 33 and 64.
The wide range of applications includes aircraft heel bearings, engine accessories, control systems, actuators, screw-jacks, servo mechanisms and electronic motors, helicopter rotor earings, instruments, airframe lubrication, hinge pins, static joints, and landing gears.
Benefits at a glance
- Longer component life through better wear and corrosion protection*
- Reduced costs through prolonged bearing life*
- Longer grease life through superior dry and wet mechanical stability*
- Easiermaintenance with the same grease technology available across the aircraft*
*Compared with MIL-PRF-81322 specification greases
Specifications, Approvals & Recommendations
- SAE AMS3058
- Airbus AIMS09-06-003
AeroShell grease 58 exceeds the latest SAE AMS 3058 specification for wheel bearing that requires the use of lithium-complex technology. But beware, not all commercially available lithium-complex thickened wheel-bearing greases meet these minimum requirements.
