The ASM AFT-1 Aircraft Fuel Tester is an essential, high-durability pre-flight fuel inspection tool designed for general aviation pilots, line maintenance technicians, and flight school operators. Engineered to simplify fuel sumping, the AFT-1 allows operators to draw clear, contamination-free fuel samples directly from aircraft tank drain valves. Its transparent, shatter-resistant cylinder provides instant visual verification of water presence, solid particulate contamination, and fuel color coding (AVGAS 100LL vs. Jet-A). Equipped with a sturdy steel actuator rod compatible with major push-type fuel drain valves, the ASM AFT-1 ensures safe, clean, and reliable fuel testing during critical pre-flight checks.

Approved Specifications & Industrial Conformance:
The ASM AFT-1 complies with standard FAA pre-flight inspection and fuel sampling safety guidelines:
- FAA Pre-Flight Compliance: Meets FAA safety recommendations for visual detection of water and particulate contamination in aircraft fuel systems.
- Substrate & Chemical Resistance: Highly resistant to stress-cracking or clouding from continuous exposure to high-octane aviation gasoline and kerosene fuels.
- Universal Drain Compatibility: Designed to actuate standard pin-type and push-type fuel drain valves (e.g., Saf-Air, Curtis, and CCA valves).
Key Features & Performance Benefits
- Instant Visual Contamination Detection: Crystal-clear inspection chamber makes water bubbles, sediment, rust particles, and fuel color dye differences immediately visible.
- Shatter-Resistant Construction: Built with high-impact polymer to withstand cockpit drop impacts, cold-weather flight line handling, and tool bag storage.
- Integrated Reversible Screwdriver Bit: Includes a dual-ended screwdriver tip stored in the actuator core for convenient cowl latch and inspection panel access during pre-flight.
- Clean & Spill-Free Sampling: Precision probe tip seals cleanly against tank drain valves to prevent fuel splashes on skin, painted fairings, or tarmac surfaces.
- Compact Flight Bag Profile: Lightweight and ergonomic design fits easily into flight bags, glove boxes, or side door pockets for rapid deployment.
Typical Applications
- General Aviation Pre-Flight Checks: Used by pilots operating Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, and Cirrus aircraft to drain fuel sumps prior to take-off.
- Flight School & Fleet Operations: Essential standard-issue safety equipment for flight instructor checkouts, student training, and rental aircraft lines.
- Aviation Line Maintenance & MRO: Utilized by ground crews and technicians for rapid fuel quality checks during routine service and fueling operations.
