NSN: 8030-00-753-5004
Ensure robust and reliable sealing of your aircraft's fuel systems with Flamemaster CS-3204 B1/2 Black Integral Fuel Tank Sealant. This high-grade, two-part black polysulfide sealant is specifically engineered for sealing integral fuel tanks and other critical areas requiring exceptional resistance to aviation fuels, lubricants, and demanding environmental conditions. Meeting the stringent requirements of both AMS-S-8802B1/2 and MIL-S-8802F, it offers superior adhesion, flexibility, and durability with a standard cure rate. The black color aids in visual inspection. This sealant is crucial for preventing fuel leaks and maintaining aircraft safety. The "B1/2" designation typically relates to its application viscosity or flow characteristics coupled with its standard curing properties.
Key Features for Aviation:
- Specifically designed and qualified for sealing integral fuel tanks in aircraft with a standard cure rate.
- Black color allows for easy visual inspection of the sealed area.
- Meets the requirements of Aerospace Material Specification AMS-S-8802B1/2, a key industry standard for fuel tank sealants with a standard cure profile.
- Also meets the requirements of U.S. Military Specification MIL-S-8802F, ensuring military-grade performance and reliability.
- Provides exceptional resistance to aviation fuels (Jet A, JP-8, Avgas), lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and other chemicals common in aircraft environments.
- Offers superior adhesion to aircraft aluminum and other common substrates.
- Maintains flexibility across a wide range of temperatures, ensuring a reliable seal under various operating conditions.
- Two-part system allows for controlled mixing and application.
- Standard cure rate provides a good balance between working time and sealing effectiveness.
- Critical for preventing fuel leaks and ensuring the structural integrity of fuel tanks.
Typical Aviation Applications:
- Sealing integral fuel tanks in wings and fuselage where a standard cure time is suitable and black color is preferred.
- Sealing fuel bladders and fuel cells.
- Sealing access panels and fittings in fuel systems.
- Sealing other areas requiring resistance to aviation fuels and lubricants with a standard curing process and visual indication.
- Use in the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of commercial and military aircraft.
