Flamemaster CS3600 High Bond Strength Adhesive - Durable Aerospace Bonding for Aircraft (Meets AMS-S-4383B)
NSN 8030-00-664-4954
CS 3600 is a Buna N-based protective coating suitable for a wide variety of purposes, especially where resistance to oils, gasoline, and aromatic fuels is desired. Primarily used as a topcoat or barrier coat for integral fuel tanks, CS 3600 can also be used for temporary repair of aircraft fuel tanks using a “fill-and-drain” technique (“slosh coat”) as well as a bonding agent for synthetic rubber, metals, glass, and many plastics.
Achieve superior structural bonding and sealing in demanding aircraft applications with Flamemaster CS3600 High Bond Strength Adhesive. This high-performance, two-part polysulfide adhesive is engineered to provide exceptional adhesion to various aircraft substrates, including aluminum, composites, and other commonly used materials. Meeting the stringent requirements of AMS-S-4383B, it offers excellent resistance to aviation fuels, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and a wide range of environmental conditions. CS3600 cures to a tough, flexible, and resilient rubber, making it ideal for bonding components that require a strong, long-lasting, and fluid-resistant connection, contributing to the overall structural integrity and safety of the aircraft.
Key Features for Aviation:
- Specifically designed for high bond strength and structural adhesion in aerospace applications.
- Meets the requirements of Aerospace Material Specification AMS-S-4383B, a critical industry standard for aircraft adhesives and sealants.
- Provides exceptional adhesion to diverse aircraft substrates, including metals and composites.
- Offers excellent resistance to aviation fuels (Jet A, JP-8), lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and other common aerospace chemicals.
- Cures to a tough, yet flexible and resilient rubber, capable of withstanding vibration and thermal cycling.
- Two-part system allows for controlled mixing and application, ensuring optimal performance.
- Ideal for bonding components that require a permanent, high-strength, fluid-resistant connection.
Typical Aviation Applications:
- Bonding aircraft interior and exterior components, such as panels, fairings, and doublers.
- Sealing and bonding around structural repairs where high strength and fluid resistance are required.
- Bonding dissimilar materials to prevent galvanic corrosion.
- Attaching insulation blankets or sound dampening materials in demanding areas.
- Use in the manufacturing, major repair, and overhaul (MRO) of commercial and military aircraft.
