Flamemaster CS5306B1/4 Polythioether Quick Repair Fuel Sealant - Rapid Cure Fuel Sealant for Aviation (Meets AMS 3277 Type I / Formerly MIL-S-29574 Type I)
Minimize aircraft downtime and ensure critical fuel system integrity with Flamemaster CS5306B1/4 Polythioether Quick Repair Fuel Sealant. This high-performance, two-part polythioether sealant is specifically engineered for rapid repairs on integral fuel tanks and other areas requiring exceptional resistance to aviation fuels, lubricants, and demanding environmental conditions. Meeting the stringent requirements of AMS 3277 Type I (and formerly MIL-S-29574 Type I), it offers superior adhesion, flexibility, and durability with an accelerated cure rate. The "B1/4" designation typically refers to its application life, signifying a very fast working time, ideal for urgent flight line repairs. This sealant cures to a flexible, resilient rubber, providing a dependable, long-lasting seal.
Key Features for Aviation:
- Specifically designed for quick repair of aircraft fuel tanks and related components.
- Meets the requirements of Aerospace Material Specification AMS 3277 Type I, a critical industry standard for fast-curing fuel tank sealants.
- Formerly qualified under U.S. Military Specification MIL-S-29574 Type I, confirming its proven military-grade performance.
- Polythioether base offers superior resistance to aviation fuels (Jet A, JP-8, Avgas), lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and other aggressive chemicals common in aircraft environments.
- Provides excellent adhesion to aluminum, composites, and other common aircraft substrates.
- Very rapid cure time (as indicated by B1/4 application life) significantly reduces maintenance and repair turnaround.
- Maintains flexibility over a wide range of temperatures, ensuring a stable seal under diverse operational conditions.
- Two-part system ensures proper mixing and optimal curing.
Typical Aviation Applications:
- Expedited repair of leaks in integral fuel tanks and fuel cells.
