Description
Flamemaster CS3205B2 Sealant Kit, Liquid, Beige, Polysulfide
NSN 8030-01-154-9256
CS 3205 Class B aerospace sealant was designed for fuel tank and fuselage sealing applications, such as repairing integral fuel tanks, cabin pressure sealing, and aerodynamic smoothing. It can be used for sealing joints and seams in both fuel and non-fuel areas. The
dichromate curing agent is less sensitive to low humidity conditions than manganese dioxide types, so it may be preferred for dry or desert climates.
Key Features for Aviation:
- Specifically designed and qualified for demanding sealing applications in the aviation industry, particularly fuel systems.
- Meets the requirements of Aerospace Material Specification AMS-S-8802 Type I, a key industry standard for fuel tank sealants.
- Provides excellent resistance to aviation fuels (Jet A, JP-8, Avgas), lubricants, and hydraulic fluids.
- Offers superior adhesion to common aircraft substrates like aluminum and composites.
- Remains flexible over a wide range of temperatures, maintaining a tight seal under various operating conditions.
- Two-part kit ensures proper mixing and application.
- Convenient kit format for easy use and storage.
- Beige color allows for visual inspection of the sealed area.
Typical Aviation Applications:
- Sealing integral fuel tanks in wings and fuselage.
- Sealing fuel bladders and fuel cells.
- Sealing access panels and fittings in fuel systems.
- Sealing other areas requiring resistance to aviation fuels and lubricants.
- Use in the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of commercial and military aircraft.
