IPG Green Mask (GM) - Industrial Grade Masking Tape

Green Mask (GM) is a high-performance, industrial-grade masking tape characterized by its flexible, light green backing and specialized adhesive. It is engineered to provide clean, sharp paint lines and reliable masking in demanding environments, including those found in aerospace and automotive industries. The tape's conformable nature allows it to adhere well around curves and irregular surfaces, while its adhesive platform ensures a secure bond during application and prevents paint bleed-through, yet allows for clean, one-piece removal without leaving residue or damaging the masked surface, even after exposure to moderate temperatures (e.g., up to 200°F / 93°C for 30 minutes). Its low profile and distinct green color enhance visibility of masked areas.

• Flexible Backing: Made from a conformable material (often crepe paper or a synthetic film) that easily adapts to contours and irregular surfaces.
  
• Specialized Adhesive: Features an adhesive designed for strong initial tack to various substrates, preventing paint bleed, but allowing for clean, residue-free removal.
  
• Clean, One-Piece Removal: Essential for preventing rework; the tape comes off cleanly without tearing or leaving adhesive residue.
  
• Temperature Resistance: Capable of withstanding temperatures typical of paint drying processes (e.g., up to 200°F / 93°C for short durations).
  
• Excellent Wet Sanding Properties: Resists water penetration, making it suitable for wet sanding processes without degrading.
  
• Low Profile & Visibility: Its thin design prevents raised edges in paint, and the light green color offers superior contrast for easy identification of masked areas.
  
• Hand-Tearable: Convenient for quick and efficient application without the need for cutting tools.
  
• Prevents Overspray/Bleed: Effectively seals edges to ensure sharp paint lines and protect unpainted areas.

Application in Aviation:

• Aircraft Painting and Repainting: Essential for masking off windows, landing gear, engine inlets, control surfaces, placards, and other areas that are not to be painted during the application of primers, basecoats, and topcoats on the fuselage and wings.
  
• Component Finishing: Used for masking parts and components during painting, anodizing, plating, or other surface finishing processes in workshops.
  
• Stenciling and Markings: Utilized to create sharp edges for stenciled markings, aircraft registration numbers, and livery details.
  
• Corrosion Prevention Treatments: May be used to mask areas prior to the application of corrosion preventative compounds or sealants where specific zones need to be protected.
  
• Repair and Touch-Up: Crucial for precise masking during localized repairs or touch-up painting of damaged areas on the airframe or interior components.
  
• Composite Repair: Can be used in conjunction with composite repair processes where areas need to be protected during sanding, bonding, or laminating.

• All in-stock orders are processed within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
• Orders with a lead time will ship according to the estimated shipping time shown on the product page.
• If we experience a high volume of orders or if an item is backordered, processing times may be slightly delayed. We will notify you promptly via email.

• Returns must be made within a maximum of 3 business days after receiving the product, with prior authorization from Aircraft Shop Supply (Return Material Authorization). Returns without prior notice or written authorization will not be accepted.
• For products with 3 to 6 months of remaining shelf life, claims must be made within the next 2 business days after receipt.
• Returns are not accepted for products with less than 3 months of remaining shelf life.
• Returns are not accepted for products purchased during a low Shelf Life promotion, items sold with discounts, or special orders that must be placed directly with the factory.
• The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost, except in cases where the return is due to an error on the part of Aircraft Shop Supply.
• Refunds will only be issued after the product has been inspected and no damage is found.
• A 25% Restocking Fee will be charged for returns of products in good condition that are either no longer needed or were ordered incorrectly.
• A 35% Restocking Fee will be charged for returns of products with one year or less of remaining shelf life.
• No Restocking Fee will be charged if Aircraft Shop Supply is responsible for incorrectly shipping a product, or if the order is damaged upon leaving the warehouse.
• Hazardous Materials & Dangerous Goods: These items are sold as final and are not eligible for return approval.
