The Honeywell North® Pre-Filter Retainers (Model N750036) are essential snap-on accessory covers engineered to secure particulate pre-filters onto Honeywell North® N-Series chemical and gas/vapor cartridges. Constructed from high-impact, chemically resistant molded polymer, these retainers allow industrial and aerospace MRO operators to add N95, R95, or P100 pre-filters directly over gas/vapor cartridges (such as organic vapor or acid gas elements). By stacking a particulate pre-filter on top of a chemical cartridge, North pre-filter retainers establish a dual-protection combination barrier that traps airborne overspray, dust, and mist before they clog the main chemical absorbent layer, significantly extending cartridge service life.

- OSHA Respiratory Standards: Meets OSHA 1910.134 guidelines for particulate pre-filtration accessory components.
Key Features & Performance Benefits
- Extends Chemical Cartridge Lifespan: Shields primary carbon absorption beds from liquid overspray and solid particulates, preventing premature clogging and lowering operating costs.
- Tool-Less Snap-On Assembly: Snaps securely over N-Series chemical cartridges without tools, ensuring rapid field replacement of saturated pre-filters.
- Durable & Chemically Resistant Polymer: Built to withstand harsh shop environments, solvent wipes, spray paint overspray, and high humidity without warping or cracking.
- Secure Seal Geometry: Features a continuous perimeter lip that clamps the pre-filter flat against the cartridge intake, preventing particulate bypass around the edges.
Typical Applications
- Aerospace & Automotive Spray Painting: Used to secure N95/R95 pre-filters over organic vapor cartridges to capture liquid paint mist, primers, and clearcoats.
- Chemical Processing & Solvent Washing: Holds pre-filters to stop airborne dust and aerosol droplets from entering chemical vapor cartridges during tank washing and degreasing.
- Composite Fabrication & Sanding: Enables combination protection against hazardous resin vapors and airborne fiberglass or carbon dust during MRO composite repair operations.
