Ultra-High Flash Precision Aerospace Solvent
Vantage Axarel 3000 (also commercially designated as Axarel PD-680-III) is a high-purity, ultra-high flash point hydrocarbon solvent degreaser engineered specifically for critical component cleaning across aerospace and military MRO sectors. Formulated to satisfy the demanding criteria of the **A-A-59601 Type III** standard (which directly superseded the legacy specification P-D-680B Type III), this single-part specialized compound serves as an effective, non-hazardous replacement for highly flammable solvents like acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and MEK. Its advanced aliphatic matrix thoroughly dissolves mineral oils, protective waxes, greases, synthetic lubricants, and particulate matter without causing pitting or stress corrosion cracking on high-strength turbine alloys.
Ordering Information:
• Please verify your required container size (Pail / Drum) with our aviation supply specialists before ordering.
Key Features & Aviation Benefits
- Ultra-High Flash Point Security: A stable operational flash point above 220°F (104°C) drastically mitigates facility fire hazards and eliminates hazardous chemical storage restrictions.
- Heated Tank Compatibility: Advanced thermal stability allows the fluid to be safely heated in immersion tanks to accelerate the removal of stubborn carbonaceous soils.
- Zero Non-Volatile Residue: Dries completely clean without leaving oily films, ensuring downstream adhesion of structural sealants or paint coatings remains unaffected.
- Broad Metallurgical Safety: Evaluated in full compliance with ASTM F1110, F483, and F945 testing to guarantee zero hydrogen embrittlement or surface pitting on advanced titanium and nickel-based superalloys.
- Reduced VOC Emissions: Exceptionally low vapor pressure limits ambient evaporation losses, improving technician safety while meeting strict environmental compliance limits.
Typical Applications
- Industrial Immersion & Soak Tanks: High-safety dip tank fluid for soaking, detailing, and agitation cleaning of complex mechanical assemblies.
- Precision Component Overhaul: Specifically applied to remove grease and carbonized oils from aircraft wheel hubs, heavy-load bearings, brake assemblies, and landing gear hardpoints.
- Pre-Assembly Surface Wiping: Ideal for precision manual cleaning operations using lint-free cloths to degrease structural parts prior to non-destructive testing (NDT) or final assembly.
