Vantage B&B JET-7 Heavy-Duty Aviation Exterior Wash
Vantage B&B JET-7 is a premium, water-based, heavy-duty aerospace equipment cleaning compound engineered for the thorough maintenance of aircraft exterior surfaces. Specially formulated to comply with the rigorous military performance criteria of **MIL-PRF-87937 Type IV** (Heavy Duty, Water Dilutable Cleaning Compound), this specialized concentrate penetrates, emulsifies, and flushes away stubborn accumulated soils, including engine oils, landing gear greases, carbonaceous soot, and resistant hydraulic fluids (such as Skydrol®). B&B JET-7 features a distinct visibility-assisting light green color that ensures complete coverage tracking across broad fuselage skin panels, wing assemblies, and tricky structural recesses without leaving corrosive ionic residues behind.
Ordering Information:
• Please verify your required container size (Pail / Drum) and shipping requirements with our aviation supply specialists before ordering.
Key Features & Aviation Benefits
- Heavy-Duty Organic Soil Emulsification: Rapidly attacks, breaks down, and encapsulates tough hydraulic fluids, baked-on exhaust track carbon, and thick landing-gear grease films.
- Low Toxicity and Eco-Conscious Formula: Formulated with a highly biodegradable matrix (>89.5% in 28 days) that is low-odor, non-flammable, and entirely free of nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE).
- Total Aircraft Substrate Safety: Formulated with advanced inhibitors to pass strict hydrogen embrittlement and sandwich corrosion testing on high-strength steels, unpainted alloys, and polyimide insulated wiring.
- Confined Area Versatility: Low toxicity and minimal odor characteristics make it fully suitable for manual application inside structural bilges, electronic component bays, and cramped wheel wells.
- Excellent Rinsing Profile: Sheets away cleanly with water under high or low pressure, preventing dirty streaks, alkaline salts, or film boundaries on critical external sensors and topcoats.
Typical Applications
- Exterior Airframe Wash Downs: Applied efficiently via foaming equipment, manual mops, brushes, or pressure sprays to remove flight grime from structural fuselages, tail sections, and wing skins.
- Confined Area Bilge Cleaning: Deployed directly as a safe manual scrub solution inside structural aircraft bilges, wing roots, and high-grease equipment bays.
- Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance: Routinely relied upon to detail, degrease, and preserve tactical tow vehicles, hydraulic power units, and flight-line support machinery under TO 35-1-3 guidelines.

2. Inventory Management (FIFO)
All products with an expiration date are managed and shipped on a strict "First In – First Out" (FIFO) basis.
3. Minimum Shipping Margin
Standard Guarantee: We will not ship any products with fewer than 30 days of use remaining (days before expiration), unless previously coordinated and agreed upon with the customer.
No Automatic Guarantees: Outside of this 30-day minimum margin, Aircraft Shop Supply does not make any automatic guarantee as to the specific length of time remaining on any shelf-life item for standard orders.
4. Special Customer Requirements
We understand that certain projects, maintenance schedules, or regulatory standards require strict specifications. If your order has specific shelf-life requirements, please proceed as follows:
How to Request: If you require a specific Date of Manufacture (DOM), Date of Expiration (DOE), or a specific minimum shelf-life percentage (%), you must clearly state this requirement:
In the Comments/Notes section when placing an online order.
Explicitly written on your Purchase Order (PO) or quote request email for offline orders.
